THE 2016 ANNUAL KAYAK FISHING CLUB GET TOGETHER
Over 150 keen kayak anglers enjoyed time on the water fishing in great weather conditions at Coromandel with plenty of fish coming in to the weigh station.
It was fantastic to see some the usual familiar faces with a large number of new comers attending and in the mix where more ladies and kids.
Some of the highlights were the younger upcoming kayak anglers bring in fish, it was also great to see a good number of kingfish this year.
After weigh in leading up to dinner the atmosphere is something special with everyone enjoying each other’s company, then there’s the whitebait fritters being passed around, delicious.
The social gathering and evening meal at the end of the day before prize giving was outstanding with a spread fit for kings. It certainly was a very impressive selection of food on offer with dessert to finish, leaving everyone very satisfied.

Next year’s event – 4th November 2017. Many have already booked their accommodation a year in advance so don’t leave it too late if wanting a place to stay close by.
